AED is a small company, offering a dedicated and personalised service. AED provides intelligent, appropriate and correctly expressed engineering solutions, tailored to each client’s aspirations and budget, and delivered in a cooperative and professional manner.
The practice has offices in central Edinburgh among a thriving community of architects, engineers, planners, safety consultants and landscape designers. This environment helps contribute to an ongoing sense of excitement in the company about our work as engineers.
Our staff have extensive experience both in the design office and on site and have been involved with numerous award-winning projects, some of which can be viewed on our portfolio pages. Together we share an enthusiasm for projects regarded as out of the ordinary but also for giving more routine projects the attention that our clients expect.
Current clients include: architects, artists, contractors, engineers, fabricators, homeowners, the petrochemical industry, the renewables sector, specialist manufacturers and the telecoms industry. Our experience puts us in a rather unique position for a small practice – we are able to talk to each member of this diverse group using the language of their specialisation. We provide a full range of services, as required by our diverse client group. This broad scope is facilitated by the use of the most up-to-date surveying, design and detailing tools currently available and our strong links with other leading practitioners.
