Craigleith House, Fettes College, Edinburgh
A prestigious new bedroom block for this famous college, comprising 100 en-suite bedrooms, common cooking and leisure facilities plus associated laundries, sports changing rooms and a high level link bridge. The building is of hybrid steel frame and load bearing masonry construction on top of a waterproof reinforced concrete basement, sitting in a wet low-lying site which presented significant challenges. All aspects of structural design and detailing, oversight of the associated civils works and site supervision were undertaken.
